Hey Christine and welcome to planDisney. I’m so excited you are planning a visit to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and/or
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Both are magnificent and both have the same transportation information to and from EPCOT. So as they say in New Orleans, "laissez le bon temps rouler" aka "Let the Good Times Roll."
To get to Disney's Port Orleans Resorts from EPCOT you will need to take the
Walt Disney World Bus Service from the bus depot located to the far right of EPCOT's main entrance. Buses typically depart every 20-30 minutes to all the theme parks and
Disney Resort hotels so if you miss one, the next will be by very shortly. In the afternoon you may see the bus wait times increase slightly.
The Sasagoula River and Cresent Lake do not join together so there is no direct
Walt Disney World Water Transportation between EPCOT and Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. Also, the
Disney Skyliner does not go to Disney's Port Orleans Resorts, however, once you’re at EPCOT if you wanna get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can hop on the Disney Skyliner for an approximate 22-minute flight.
planDisney Pro Tip: If you are staying at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside and in the evening if both Disney Port Orleans Resorts share a bus, the French Quarter stop is typically first. If you are staying at Riverside and depending on where you are in Riverside, it may be quicker to get off at the French Quarter stop and walk to your Riverside room.
Christine, I hope this clears up any issues on how to get hither, thither, and yon at Walt Disney World Resort. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
