Hi we will be in Epcot New Year’s Eve and wondering once the park shuts do buses generally still run down to Disneysprings at such a late time from any of the resorts NYE?I’m trying to figure the best way back to our Disney springs hotel once the park shut

    Hello Jennifer,

Welcome back to planDisney!  As the current UK Panelist, I'm so pleased to see you here once again.

Oh boy!  How exciting it is to hEAR that you'll be heralding in 2022 within the EARidescant splendor of EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort.  From my own experience of celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, I feel sure that you'll be truly blown away by the Harmonious nighttime spectacular, and the sheer joyous atmosphere of welcoming in the New Year with a huge magical crowd of Guests all singing "Auld Lang Syne!"

When thinking of transportation back to your Disney Springs area hotel, I'd like you to know that it goes without saying that most likely the crowds will be busy, and many Guests will be leaving EPCOT at approximately the same time as you.  So, what I'm trying to say is... be prepared!

On your behalf Jennifer I've taken a quick peek at the Disney Parks Calendar, and am happy to share that on December 31st, 2021, EPCOT is scheduled to close at midnight, and Disney Springs is scheduled to close at 11.30 PM.

Plus, it would be helpful for you to know that Walt Disney World Bus Service generally continues to run up until 1 hour after scheduled Disney Theme Park closing times, and generally speaking the Disney bus service for Disney Springs ceases to operate from 11 PM.  However, it's my understanding that on occasions like New Year's Eve, this schedule may indeed be a little more flexible on times!

In my own personal opinion, at the end of your EPCOT New Year's Eve celebrations, I would recommend making your way to the main entrance of EPCOT where I would board a Disney Resort bus to a Disney Resorts Collection hotel that is close by to Disney Springs (for example Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa), where I would plan to utilise a ride-share such as Uber or Lyft direct back to your Disney Springs area hotel.

Jennifer, I hope that I've been able to provide you with a little magical insight today!  If you should have any further questions that I can help you with, then please don't hesitate to drop back to me here at planDisney.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
