Hi , When do the Epcot New Year's Eve after hrs event tickets go on sale , and how do you go about purchasing them as we are staying at the The Port Orleans Resort

Hi there, Alan. It's a pleasure to answer not one, but two of your questions today.

Okay, so I'm just going to admit it right here, right now: I'm totally jealous of your upcoming vacation. It's a dream of mine to be at the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays and with the completion of EPCOT's transformation right around the corner and the debut of Luminous The Symphony of Us on December 5, 2023, EPCOT really is the place to be! Is there room in your suitcase for me? I mean, who needs that much clothing? Just pack a couple of outfits and I'll just squeeze myself right in! After all, there are laundry services available at the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. But all kidding aside, it looks like you are planning a phenomenal trip.

There is no Disney After Hours event planned for New Year's Eve in EPCOT. While there is always a possibility that special offerings could be announced between now and then, it's not likely that it would be a special ticketed event. The park is open until midnight for all Guests with a valid theme park ticket and, this year, a valid Theme Park Reservation. While offerings are subject to change, there are usually special DJs set up, two showings of the nighttime spectacular, and no shortage of delicious food and tasty drinks. Be sure to follow along with the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements and use your handy My Disney Experience mobile app for entertainment times.

While it's definitely a special experience being at the resort for the holidays, it will certainly be crowded and there may be times when the theme parks, especially Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, will close due to capacity. Make sure that if you have your heart set on being in a park later on in the day, you don't leave. Otherwise, you run the risk of not being able to be re-admitted. This will be especially true on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Alan, I hope you enjoy your holiday at the resort. If you have any other questions, please reach out directly to me.

Look up to the stars to guide you,
    Matt
