Hi Robin! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! Your Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it! Now is the perfect time to make a game plan and iron out all of your trip details.
Park hopping is one of my favorite things to do when visiting the parks. I love being able to bounce around and fit more Disney fun into my day. Currently, park hopping begins at 2 PM each day, so you'll need to visit the first park you have a reservation for before heading to the second one. In your case, you can enjoy EPCOT during the morning and early afternoon, then hop on the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom when you are ready.
TRON Lightcycle / Run is utilizing a
Virtual Queue System at this time. You'll have two opportunities to enter the virtual queue each day. The first opportunity to snag a boarding group begins at 7 AM and the second at 1 PM. The first time requires you to have a park reservation at the Magic Kingdom in order to join, while the second time requires you to be present in the park when joining. Since park hopping does not begin until 2 PM each day, your only chance to enter the virtual queue for
TRON Lightcycle / Run is when you arrive at 2 PM at the Magic Kingdom. With this attraction just opening, there is a good chance that there may not be any slots still available when you get there. Your best bet will be to start your day at the Magic Kingdom and hop over to EPCOT later in the day if this attraction is a top priority on your list.
Your other option is to purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane for TRON Lightcycle / Run. While this does come with a cost, you will be able to select your return time from the available time slots shown. Just make sure the time you select is for when you plan to hop over to the Magic Kingdom. If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Hotel or other select hotels, you can book an Individual Lightning Lane starting at 7 AM. Otherwise, you'll need to wait until the official park opening time to do so. Individual Lightning Lanes are based on availability, so there is a chance that they sell out quickly on certain days.
Robin, I hope this information helps you plan for your park days!
