We are going to be at Epcot on March 30 and we're thinking of having our kids take part in the scavenger hunt. Can you tell me any more about this? Things like where to buy the maps and if it's too hard for a 5 and 7 year old? Thanks

Hey there, hi there, Jay! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with such an oh-so-fun question.

Eeeek! In just days, you'll be embarking on your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! And with the final days of the 50th Anniversary Celebration still in full swing and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom, you could not be visiting at a better time. The festival scavenger hunts are always a must-do for my family, and I'm more than happy to answer your questions today!

The scavenger hunts at the Flower & Garden Festival, such as Spike's Pollen-nation Exploration and the Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt, are the perfect way for the whole family to enjoy exploring each Pavilion around EPCOT's World Showcase. The scavenger hunt is definitely straightforward enough for even little Mousketeers to participate and have a great time. In fact, my daughter is usually better than the adults at finding what we are hunting! Your kiddos may need a little help with the hunt, but trust me, you won't mind. It's so much fun! If you find that you need a little help, just ask a Cast Member in that Pavilion for a little hint. Mary Poppins herself even gave my daughter a clue once!

We always purchase a scavenger hunt when we first arrive for our first visit to the fest, and you can purchase one at several select merchandise locations, such as Pin Traders, Creations Shop, and World Traveler, just to name a few. Just keep your eyes peeled for the scavenger hunt signs outside of the shops. Then, off you go! The kiddos will have a blast while the adults taste their way around the world. Okay, who am I kidding?! The adults will love the scavenger hunt just as much as the kids! My wife and I even participate in them on our adult-only trips. No matter how many times I participate, I notice more incredible Disney details while I'm on the hunt. Whether you finish the whole thing or not, don't forget to turn in your scavenger hunt at Disney Traders or World Traveler for an adorable prize!

I hope this helps, Jay, and I hope you and your family have the most magical and memorable time on your scavenger hunt and your pixie-dusted vacation! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!

    Blue skies and sunshine,

    Mandy
