We were at Epcot last week and my husband got sick and didn’t use his ticket. Can we still make another reservation and use it at a later date? It is showing up in the app, but it looks different. I do we go about using it?

Hi Jenni, welcome back to planDisney!

When I am scheduling my next visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I feel like I am always adjusting plans to make it the best trip ever. One thing I can’t plan for however, is if someone in my travel party gets sick, which I have also experienced. I hope your husband is feeling better and ready to experience EPCOT on another day!

You should be able to modify your unused ticket on the Walt Disney World website in your My Disney Experience account, or on your My Disney Experience mobile app. Before you start this process, I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, to make sure that reservations available for the new date you are choosing.

If you are on the website and logged in to your My Disney Experience account, scroll down to “My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets” and select “Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker.” You will see a list of your tickets and you should have option to “Change Ticket.” You can also complete this change in the My Disney Experience app. Click on the three horizontal bars in the bottom right of your app, and select “Tickets and Passes.” Under the unused ticket there should be a “Change Ticket” option, and when you click on this it will take you to the Walt Disney World website where you can modify the date of your ticket. If you are changing to a date that has higher priced tickets, you will need to pay the additional cost, and no refunds are given for dates that have lower costs.

If you have any difficulties completing these steps, I recommend calling the number listed under “Existing Tickets” and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance.

I hope you and your husband can visit Walt Disney World Resort again soon, Jenni! If you get a chance to visit before February 20, 2023, you can still experience the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. If you can't make it by then, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will begin on March 1, 2023!

If you have any future planning questions, please visit me again at planDisney!
