We are going Epcot on the last day of the Food and Wine Festival. I was wondering if anyone has been on the last day and if it is different from the other days. I will be really disappointed if they are packing everything up when we get there.

    Hi Misty,

The fall is my favorite season of the year to visit Walt Disney World because the weather is awesome, the crowds aren't too bad, and most importantly, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing!

While I've never been to the festival on its final day, I happen to have a buddy who has. He told me that the final day is usually pretty crowded with guests trying to get one last hurrah. So, his advice was to do your rounds earlier in the day if possible.

I also asked about the issue of whether guests should expect any different experiences on the final day or if the marketplaces get packed up early. Luckily, he said you should expect to have the same experience a guest would have any other day that the festival was being held. Awesome!!

So now that you're in the clear, here are a few festival tips from your buddy Derek:

    1) Don't forget to stretch. (Just kidding.....well, maybe that's not a bad idea after all.)

    2) Grab a festival map when you enter Epcot so you can start to make a preliminary game plan as you head toward the World Showcase promenade.

    3) Sharing is a must if you want to be able to experience as many dishes as possible. (This tip shall be deemed invalid for all offerings in the Canada marketplace because they're too good to share!)

Here's a bonus tip from your buddy Derek:

If you're not 100% sold on a particular dish, feel free to get opinions from other guests. While I'd feel uncomfortable pulling that move at a restaurant, I feel like the atmosphere at the Food & Wine festival is so much more conducive to building a community of food lovers. That's exactly why so many guests, like myself, love coming back each and every year!

I hope that helps and I hope you enjoy this year's festival.

    Best regards,
    Derek
