Do epcot fireworks get canceled for wind

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for your question. Disney's Epcot serves up some of the best fireworks and special effects shows one would find in the entire world! It is simply amazing how Disney is able to perfectly choreograph fireworks along with beautiful music all while simultaneously integrating visual effects. This is what Disney does best, and it is why I love watching all Disney performances! I recently partook in watching Epcot Forever, and without letting the cat out of the bag, it is BY FAR my most favorite fireworks experience in all the theme parks.

In light of the unparalleled entertainment, Disney always places a premium on safety for all Disney guests, as well as its Cast Members. Depending on weather conditions, inclement weather can sometimes impact fireworks shows at Epcot to the point where they may have to cancel the event. Since portions of the fireworks show will involve favorable wind conditions, so it is possible the event could be cancelled if the wind speeds would affect the event commencing without incident.

Now from personal experience, I can say my family and I have experienced many a fireworks show at Disney World that involved some rain as well as wind, and they continued with the performance. I think it would all come down to how severe those conditions are, and how increasing wind speeds would impact the safety measures put in place for outdoor performances such as Epcot Forever.

Hopefully if you plan to visit this will not be the case! Epcot Forever is a fireworks show I could watch...FOREVER! :-)

Wishing you and yours a magical day!
