Hi Lorrie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
When I think of places in Epcot that offer great non-character entertainment, I think of Biergarten Restaurant and Teppan Edo.
Biergarten Restaurant will entertain you in true German style. A lively band plays and you will find people dancing to the band's songs on the dance floor. Real German fare is served buffet style and the bratwurst and pork schnitzel are not to be missed. Make sure that you save room for the Bavarian cheesecake, it has always been my favorite part of the meal. One thing to note is that the tables are “communal style” so think long tables and benches. You will most likely (depending on how busy it is) be seated next to other people. At first this was a little different for me but then I realized that it is all part of the fun!
Teppan Edo is one of my favorite restaurant experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort. Not only are you experiencing authentic Japanese food, but you also get to experience a true show. Your chef prepares food right on the grills at your table and I have found them to be really entertaining and awe inspiring as they are able to chop, cook, and even flip a few knives! I have found there to be a great variety of food to choose from including chicken, beef, seafood, vegetable entrees, are served with Udon noodles and rice. I really think that this is an experience that the kids will enjoy!
I hope that you have a deliciously entertaining time!
