We have EPCOT breakfast at 830am. EPCOT opens at 9am. Staying at Riverside, want to take a bus. Read in the general transportation section that resort busses start 45 minutes before park opening. Is that the case? Concerned about having enough time.

Hey there, Susan. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I see that your trip is next month, you've got to be getting so excited!

The information that you've read is correct. Busses do start running from the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks about 45 minutes prior to opening. Even if you are on the first bus, I just don't think that will give you enough time to travel between Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to Epcot. What I do suggest is using Disney's Minnie Van Service instead. You can request a Minnie Van using the Lyft mobile app, so be sure to have that downloaded on your phone before your trip. Minnie Vans start running at 6:30 a.m. daily. When you are ready for a ride, simply open the Lyft app. If the Minnie Van isn't the default vehicle displayed, just swipe through the options until you see it. You'll then enter your destination, see travel times and pay all conveniently through the app. It's really fun to take a Minnie Van. I enjoy chatting with the Cast Members driving and who wouldn't want to ride in a polka-dotted vehicle? If this isn't something you'd be interested in, you might want to call and push back your breakfast reservation a little bit so you don't miss it.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Enjoy your trip.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
