We'll be in Epcot in August, and want to do the Behind the Seeds tour. I'm not quite far enough into planning to be able to pick the day/time yet. Any idea how quickly this tour fills up? How far in advance do we need to reserve it? Thank you!

Hello Amy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family just returned from a Walt Disney World Resort vacation that included a thorough exploration of The Land Pavilion in Epcot. Our exploits included a turn on Soarin', dining with Chip 'n' Dale and other Disney Pals at The Garden Grill Restaurant and the Behind The Seeds Tour that explored the scientific backstage scientific research behind the Living with the Land Attraction.

While our specific Tour was not filled to capacity, it is recommended that you book reservations in advance by contacting (407)939-8687. Many Guests get spots on the Behind the Seeds tour by walking up to the Tour Planning Desk (beside the Soarin' entrance).

As a consummate planner, I usually book all of my Tour Reservations shortly after the 180-day window opens. Once booked, I use the date and times of these Tours (as well as Advanced Dining Reservations) to plan out the rest of our Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.

If a spot for any Event or Tour is available at any time, Cast Members will attempt to fill that spot with the next interested or available Guest whether it is at the 180-day mark or hours before (pending any time restrictions or policies).

If you enjoy the Behind the Seeds Tour, I recommend taking a look at Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom.

    Have a Magical Tour!
