Jambo, World Traveler! Becky, it sounds like you are planning a wild adventure! I'm thrilled your journeys brought you to planDisney with this question. Any chance you are attempting a "four park" challenge? I met the most energetic and happy ladies on the Disney Monorail a few weeks ago. By 11 a.m., they had already been to Animal Kingdom and were on their way from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT with the goal of one ride, one snack and one epic
PhotoPass picture in each of the theme parks. It sounded like the most magical day ever!
For your day at
Walt Disney World on October 28,
EPCOT is saying "Wilkommen," "Bienvenue," and "Marhaba" at 9:00 a.m. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection or other eligible hotel can enjoy
Early Theme Park Entry starting at 8:30 a.m. As your question tells me you know already,
Disney Resort Transportation will begin between EPCOT and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at 10:00 a.m.
If you are ready to
hoof it over to Animal Kingdom before the park-to-park buses start, you have a few options.
You could use a service like Uber or Lyft. Your driver can pick up up at a dedicated spot for rideshare services outside EPCOT's Main Gate and drop you off at Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
If you are looking for a cost-free option, you can take Disney Resort Transportation from Disney's
Beach and
Yacht Club Resorts. Buses from resorts begin about an hour before a park opens, so these will be running to Animal Kingdom before EPCOT even opens. To do this, you can exit EPCOT from the International Gateway (between the United Kingdom and France in the World Showcase) and follow the path to Beach and Yacht Club. These resorts share a bus stop near the porte-cochère (valet area) in front. It's about a 5 to 7-minute stroll, depending on your pace. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can use a connecting route and take buses the whole way. Since you are headed to Animal Kingdom Theme Park, I would take the bus from EPCOT to Animal Kingdom Lodge. At the Lodge, you can change buses to hop aboard one heading to the park. It may take a little longer than the Yacht and Beach Club resorts option, but if you time it right, it could be a great way to get time off your feet between parks.
Becky, I hope you have a wild time at all of your Disney destinations! If you have any other questions, please swing back by
planDisney. We are here to help you navigate all of your planning!
Magic Awaits!
