For entry in to each park are they just requiring Magic Band scan and NO thumb print because of Covid-19?

    Howdy Barbara!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thank you are sharing your question with us!

I have recently visited the Walt Disney World Resort, and the park entry process has changed a bit.  The Walt Disney World Parks offer clear bags for you to place all your metal objects in, and then you can proceed through the metal detectors.  After this process, you may approach any of the MagicBand scan entrances, and all you need to do is tap your band.  There is currently no finger touch required.

The Walt Disney World Resort has placed several precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all guests.  The “Know Before You Go” site is beneficial to prepare you for everything that you will experience on your next Walt Disney World vacation during the time that these measures are needed.

There are so many new and exciting things for 2020 and 2021!  The Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors in 1971, so 2021 will mark 50 years of “Making Dreams Come True!”  I am looking forward to the celebration that Mickey and his friend are planning for this fantastic year!  To stay informed of everything on the horizon, check out the Disney Parks Blog!  The Disney Parks Blog is the best place to find out about all the updates to come and new things already happening at the Walt Disney World Resort!

While you are planning your next vacation, if you have any more questions, please come back to planDisney!  We look forward to helping you again, Barbara!
