Does entire party have to be present on standby line or can one person hold spot for party of 6?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Arline!

There are some things in life that I just know to be true: the sun is going to rise in the east and set in the west, the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, and when I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, I'm going to spend a little bit of my time waiting in the queue for some of my favorite attractions. Everyone who goes to a theme park is going to spend some of their time waiting for something, and we all have that in common. If one person could hold a spot in line and then have five other people join them when they got to the front, it wouldn't be fair to the other people who waited the entire time, and for that reason, everyone who wants to ride an attraction will need to wait together. No need to worry though, because there are some pretty fun queues to see! The standby line at Peter Pan's Flight was recently updated to include some fun, interactive elements, and I find cool hidden details every time I wait in the queue for Avatar - Flight of Passage.

Of course, you can always use FastPass+ to skip the standby line altogether! With your theme park ticket, you can make three FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance, or 60 days before your arrival if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I also recommend downloading the Play Disney Parks app so you can have some fun with the in-queue games and experiences, and you'll be at the front of the line before you know it!

    Have a magical day, Arline!
