Hi Jamie,
My preteens and teens have several "favorite" things to do at Disney World. Here are a few suggestions:
We highly recommend the Surf
Lessons at Typhoon Lagoon. My husband and I did this with our 11 & 15 year old sons a few weeks ago. There were several other teens there as well who were doing it solo while their parents watched and took pictures. The entire experience is over 2 hours, which includes brief lessons on land before hitting the waves. It was so much fun and boys can't stop talking about it.
We arranged for our daughter to do the
Dolphins in Depth Tour with her Uncle when she was 15. They both rate it as an A+ tour. I believe they take only 6-8 people at a time. So it is a small group, perfect for lots of up-close and personal time with the dolphins.
My kids love renting the
Sea Raycers. These boats can be driven by anyone 12 years and up. When my son was 14, he loved being able to drive his younger brother around. We all rented boats together and split everyone up. I still owe my 11 year old son a trip on these on a future trip, since he wasn't old enough to drive last time.
Another "must do" according to my tweens and teens is DisneyQuest Interactive Theme Park at Downtown Disney. This has 5 floors of games, some of which are super cool. We especially love the Pirates of the Caribbean game.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further and have a wonderful vacation,
Kaylene
