Greetings Kendra!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, where I'm always excited to share tips on having your photos taken with t
he Mouse that started it all and his sweetheart, Minnie!
First off, I have to congratulate you on planning a vacation with such a large group! I think your time at the Happiest Place on Earth will be magical for both the young and the young-at-heart!
Kendra, generally during regular Park hours, Mickey and Minnie are separated. While you can find them inside Mickey's Toontown greeting guests who visit their whimsical and colorful respective homes, they're usually not together for photo opportunities. You can find Minnie inside the Plaza Inn visiting guests at their tables during breakfast hours. Mickey may appear along Main Street, U.S.A. for pictures too.
But it's hard to catch them together since they each have such a busy schedule!
It's likely that you can snap a photo of Mickey & Minnie together during a parade but they're not usually together for a group photo.
Fortunately, the Disneyland Resort created a
Signature Photography Experience for guests looking for this very opportunity!
The way it works is, you pay a fee and book a time slot (usually before the Parks open). What you get is access to Mickey's Toontown for a one-hour shoot by a professional Disney photographer and assistant for stylistic posing and lighting. You also get access to a personal online gallery to download your final retouched images and one free photo frame.
This package usually has an 8-person maximum but I would suggest calling guest services to see if a larger group can be accommodated.
The number to call is (714) 300-7520 (select option #2). Limited spaces are available so I would suggest you give them a ring as soon as possible.
I hope this helps!
ChEARs,
