Hello Angela and thanks so much for bringing such an awesome question to us here at planDisney!
In my humble opinion, the gorgeously themed Disney's BoardWalk area of
Walt Disney World Resort can easily be missed by some Guests. So for me, Disney's BoardWalk still retains that '
almost exclusive' feeling of a bygone era. I have some very fond memories of enjoying relaxing evening strolls along
Disney's BoardWalk, where my husband and I walked hand-in-hand whilst our teenagers checked out all the street entertainment and stalls on offer. Our evenings always seemed to end with a delicious treat from the
BoardWalk Bakery, and then we'd sit awhile watching the jolly little Friendship Boats crossing the lake to and fro...
Therefore, Angela I'm more than happy to recommend that your family do indeed visit Disney's BoardWalk as it's super kid-friendly and, parents will love it too! Plus, only a short promenade away across the lake you'll discover
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop where your dear 11 & 13 year olds might like to indulge in an
old fashioned shake or sundae, or even the infamous Kitchen Sink. The Kitchen Sink sundae is a gigantic gut-buster of a dessert that could easily serve 4 ice-cream loving Guests!
I'm sure whatever is finally decided upon you'll enjoy a magical time discovering all the
Entertainment on offer at Walt Disney World Resort this coming May!
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
