When entering Disneyland, should each person in our party scan their own ticket from their phone OR can one person scan all the group’s tickets from one phone? We all have the app and everyone’s tickets linked so we can share Lightning Lane booking duties

    Welcome to planDisney, Sophie!

It sounds like you are getting all of your Disneyland ducks in a row for your visit to the parks this week. I'm very happy to report that any theme park tickets linked to a particular account can be scanned from the Disneyland Mobile App on one phone. This is often the case for my family whether I am traveling with my husband and kids or with our extended family of friends and grandparents. As you can imagine, I like to be the magic maker, so I generally hold all the tickets and make Lightning Lane selections for everyone. It sounds like your group is prepped and ready to go having already linked tickets!

One thing to note is that the first time you scan into the Main Gate upon arrival, the Cast Member will snap a photo of each Guest with each scan. This officially assigns the ticket to a particular person, so to speak, even if you added your name at the time of purchase. This ensures that you and only you can use that ticket to enter the parks. If you have a big group, just make sure everyone is organized to make for a smooth entry.

With Lightning Lane Multi Pass in your pocket, you will want to take full advantage of a few of the perks that come with it. Of course, using those time saving Lightning Lanes will help you maximize the magic, but did you know you will also get unlimited digital downloads of all the Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day? This is one of the best ways to capture all those memories, so don't be shy! Anytime you see a PhotoPass photographer, it's your time to shine. This includes character photos, attraction photos, and even Magic Shots!

Another perk that took me a beat to really fully understand and explore is the Disney PhotoPass Lenses. These are so much fun. Trust me, you will not want to sleep on these! When you navigate in the app to the "three-lines" icon in the bottom right-hand corner, scroll down and you will see PhotoPass Lenses. Once you are in the parks, it will open up a bunch of options from filters to animations to transformations to make your memories even more magical. They are ever-changing so the offerings may be different visit to visit. We've had lenses that transformed us into Disney Villains, sprouted Tinker Bell wings, or even found a friendly pal (Minnie!) on our shoulder. My family uses them to pass the time while we are in line for attractions, even if we are in a fast moving Lightning Lane. You'll see that some lenses are specific to the area of the park you are in and only available from that spot!

Sophie, I hope this was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
