To enter the park by means of the monorail from the Downtown disney, what theme park tickets do I need to have?

    Hi, Mary!

My family often stays at the Disneyland Hotel so we love to hop on the monorail to zip over to Disneyland Park. There is something so magical about entering a park on a monorail!

Before boarding the monorail, you will need to present a valid park admission ticket for Disneyland Park. Make sure you either have the Park Hopper option on your ticket OR you plan to spend the day in Disneyland Park because you are actually scanning your ticket for admission into Disneyland Park. Once you exit the monorail station in Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park, you are officially into the park, ready to have fun!

You are welcome to leave Disneyland Park for a mid-day break and return later in the day; Simply present your ticket for re-entry. If you plan to switch to Disney California Adventure Park, make sure you have that Park Hopper option added onto your ticket.

The monorail makes a 2.5 mile circle around Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, then back to the monorail station in Downtown Disney, so it really is fun way to get a view from the "Highway in the Sky!" My kids have always been huge fans of riding the monorail, so this becomes an attraction in itself.

Wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
