Hi Amy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning to get an early start to the day. Love your planning!
At Magic Kingdom, guests can enter the park one hour before park opening to enjoy the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. before the
Let the Magic Begin show. So, yes, if the park opens at 9:00 a.m., you will be able to enter at 8:00 a.m. Remember this if you want to make a pre-park opening breakfast reservation. You would need to make that reservation at 8:00 a.m. to enter the park
before other guests. Last time we had a pre-park opening breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest restaurant for 8:00 a.m. and they let us in the park by 7:45 a.m.
The
Resort Monorail starts operating 30 minutes before the earliest park opening. Last summer, when we stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Hotel, the resort monorail was generally running by 7:30 a.m. but the monorail to Epcot did not start running until 9:00 a.m. on the day we were trying to get to an early breakfast reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot.
Walt Disney World Water Transportation Service times can vary depending on weather and water conditions.
Amy, if you have not done so already, download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. The app has a nice "Get Directions" feature that will let you find the transit options and estimated transit time between locations.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs.
