Can I enter Magic Kingdom on a one-day ticket, leave at some point for a break, and then return later in the day?

Welcome to planDisney Leah. We are excited you stopped by with your question. I live for mid-day breaks. Nothing makes me feel better than a fresh set of threads and rested feet.

I tell everyone this because it is the absolute truth, Magic Kingdom Park is my absolute favorite by far. I love to get there super duper early and try and get some major attractions out of the way while crowds are lower. We usually head to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and immediately after we head straight to Gaston's Tavern for a Warm Cinnamon Roll. This is a shareable item as it was almost the size of my daughter's head. Eventually, we get worn down and decide it's time for our break. When you enter with your ticket in the morning it will be tied to you, and you can re-enter later in the day once you are refreshed. If you will be up early and enjoy thrills make sure you open your My Disney Experience App before 7 a.m. and you can try and obtain a boarding pass via the Virtual Queue to ride the newest coaster on Disney property.

TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise is the newest addition to an already jam-packed list of attractions at Magic Kingdom. Try for that Virtual Queue in the morning if you aren't able to you can try again at 1 p.m. You just have to make sure you are inside the park. After that, you can head out for your break. If you turn notifications on for the App, your smartphone will let you know when it is your turn. When your day is winding down grab a snack and find a comfy spot somewhere near Cinderella Castle. Use that same App to check the showtime for Happily Ever After and get ready to be dazzled. This show has all of the special songs and new projections on the buildings up and down  Main Street U.S.A. It does make a perfect end to your evening. But I usually head to one last attraction because you can get in the line up to park closing time. It also thins out the crowd filling up the monorail and ferry, even if you just wanted to pick a spot to hang back and people-watch. I recommend staying back and enjoying a load off because that was a long day of walking.

Your trip is going to be perfect I can smell it in the crisp fall air already. Be sure to head back and ask me a question anytime and I will be happy to help.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
