can we enter and exit disneyland and reenter disneyland with regular tickets ?

    Hi there, Albert!

Welcome to planDisney. I can see that you are arriving at the Happiest Place on Earth TODAY! I have to say, I wish I were in your shoes! The parks are so joyful right now with the 70th Anniversary festivities in full swing—you'll be humming and singing "Celebrate Happy" before you know it!

Let's jump right into your question and set you up for a successful day in the parks. The quick answer is, YES! Depending on your ticket type and theme park reservation, you can enter and exit as much as you'd like throughout the day. To break it down, if you have a One Park Per Day ticket and a reservation to Disneyland Park, you can enter and exit that park until park closing. Likewise, it would be the same case if your reservation is for California Adventure. If you have a Park Hopper ticket and a reservation for Disneyland Park, you would start your day at Disneyland and be able to hop over to California Adventure after 11:00 AM. From there, you can hop between the two for the rest of the day. It would be the reverse if your reservation is for California Adventure, with hopping to Disneyland beginning at 11:00 AM.

When you first scan into the Main Entrance Gates, you will be asked to snap a photo of yourself at the new digital turnstiles. This photo will pop up each time your ticket is scanned to ensure that there is only one Guest using this particular ticket. This makes for a seamless exit and reentry process, with a little bit of magic!

I can also see that you're planning ahead and asking about bringing an umbrella with you to provide some shade. I am currently experiencing a heat wave on the East Coast, so I feel you and think this is a fabulous idea! Umbrellas for rain or sun are welcome in the parks. While the Disneyland Property Rules and Prohibited Items list does not make specifications around the size of the umbrella, I spoke to a Cast Member who mentioned that it may be up to the discretion of the Security Team when you enter the parks. They are scanning for safety, so if they feel that it is unsafe for other Guests, they may ask you to return it to your vehicle or hotel room. Additionally, having an umbrella that large may be a hindrance as you board attractions and move around the parks. We usually recommend packing something collapsible that can fit into a backpack. This helps to maximize the magic!

Albert, I hope this has been helpful! I know you are en route to the resort as we speak, so I will just leave you with one quick tip. As you make your way, I highly recommend taking a peek at the Entertainment Schedule for the day. There are so many great options right now, you will want to make a plan around seeing parades and nighttime spectaculars. You won't want to miss the Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland or World of Color Happiness! at California Adventure, just to name a few!

If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney

    Enjoy your visit!
