Hi. Can we enter Disneyland for Sweethearts night after 6:00 through the main gate and get our credentials at locations in the park rather than waiting in the super long lineup at the special events entry?

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for visiting planDisney. Sounds like you have a romantic and fun evening in your future! Sweethearts Nite is a wonderful event to share with family, friends, and especially the love of your life! I am sure the event will have you singing “Can you feel the love tonight?” in no time.

Your ticket to this event includes admission to Disneyland Park 3 hours before the party begins (no reservation or additional park ticket needed). So this is a great time to enter the park, grab your credentials, and create your game plan. There can still be long lines at the 6 pm entry time, so I recommend getting to the park earlier than that to give yourself time to get through parking, security, and the tram ride to the entrance.

Once the event starts, there will be lots of Disney magic to experience. When I attend after dark events, my favorite thing to do is take photos. Your ticket to the event included unlimited downloads of any digital photos you have taken with any Disney PhotoPass photographer. Sweethearts Nite is sure to have special characters and backdrops that would make anyone swoon!

After Dark Tip: If you are a Disney regular, I recommend spending your time focusing on the events that are exclusive to the night. When I have attended After Dark events in the past, I have used the three hours of early entry to get on as many rides as possible before the After Dark events take place. The treats, photo spots and characters for the event are not something a regular Disneyland guest experience, so take advantage.

Robert, I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions or need help planning other aspects of your love filled trip, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelist, and we would be happy to share our thoughts.

    Wishing you a lovely time!
