Hi Sonia!
Like you, I have visions of Disney cruises dancing in my head right now. We both set sail with Captain Mickey in a few days (just a day apart), and it’s vital to get all the pre-cruise documentation submitted. So let’s get that done for you so you can load your sleigh and get to that Disney cruise on time!
First, if you haven’t already, you will need to create an account associated with your Disney Cruise Line reservation on the
Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics (Disney Cruise Line’s partner for COVID-19 testing and vaccination verification). Each adult must make their own account on this site and submit the necessary documentation.
Since your cruise is before January 13, 2022, here are the rules specific to your sailing. All Guests 12 and older must upload their proof of vaccination, and Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date. Guests ages 5 through 11 may complete this testing requirement in lieu of being fully vaccinated for sailings that depart before January 13, 2022, and Guests 4 years of age and under must complete the testing requirements. The test should be a NAAT test, rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are NOT accepted. Again, these protocols are applicable only to those cruises beginning on or before January 13, 2022.
The Safe Passage portal opens for Guests 15 days prior to their sail date. Since you set sail on December 26th, you can do yours now. A parent or legal guardian must use their own account to submit test results or proof of vaccinations on behalf of minors.
Vaccination documentation must reflect the following: full name, matching the name on your Disney Cruise Line reservation; date of birth; name of first vaccine and the date of your first dose; and name of second vaccine and the date of your second dose (if a two dose vaccination).
Between 3 days and 24 hours before setting sail, you will log back on the Safe Passage website to ensure that everyone in your travel party has been cleared to arrive at the port. All this information is also outlined on the
Before Leaving Home/Know Before You Go page.
WISHing you nothing but smooth sailing as you chart a course to your Embarkation Day. Sonia, please let me know if you need further assistance-I’d love to be your first mate as you captain the cruise planning waters.
Happy Sailing and Happy Holidays!
