Hi there, just an enquiry, we are planning our Disney World trip for next year (YAY) and I was wondering if we were allowed to bring plastic/wooden cutlery sets into the parks? Thank you 😊 and kind regards Irene

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Irene!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are so excited to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! You’re going to make many unforgettable memories, whether meeting your favorite characters, exploring different Disney Theme Parks, or simply soaking in the joy and wonder of it all. Prepare for an adventure filled with excitement, laughter, and pure Disney MAGIC! So...LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!

So, are you ready for some MAGICAL news? I am very excited to share with you that you most certainly CAN bring plastic or wooden cutlery into the Disney Theme Parks. I also wanted you to know that Quick-Service restaurants will have plastic utensils you can use for snacks and other food you bring into the park. While you can bring in outside food and nonalcoholic beverages, please be aware that you are not allowed to bring glass containers.

I must say that visiting Disney World in August is a great time to experience the MAGIC! While it’s one of the hotter months, it’s also when summer crowds start to thin out, especially towards the end of the month as schools go back in session. This means shorter wait times for attractions and a more enjoyable experience overall. While schedules can change, you can also enjoy the early start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which brings the BEST Boo-To-You parade and Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks ever, special character meet-and-greets, and exclusive trick-or-treating.

As you plan, please make sure you check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some exciting surprises planned, and we don't want you to miss a thing!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
