Hello there, BettyJo! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping back by and submitting another excellent question!
As a native Southerner,
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ truly captures what I believe to be the definition of comfort food! This casual dining location at Disney Springs boasts a menu fully created by award-winning, celebrity chef, Art Smith, and focuses on providing fresh flavors provided by Florida’s local produce. My favorite dish offered at this location has got to be the shrimp and grits! Just thinking about those creamy grits served with fresh, pan-seared shrimp is enough to make my mouth water!
Depending on how you intend on arriving at
Disney Springs, it may take you more than an hour and a half to make it from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort. If you are taking
Disney’s Magical Express, it can take over an hour to be transported to your Disney Resort hotel. Then, you will need to find transportation to Disney Springs. Even if you are renting a car, it can take up to 45 minutes to drive to Walt Disney World Resort from Orlando International Airport. These times, of course, reflect a smooth ride and may be even longer depending on traffic and other factors.
To be on the safe side, I would recommend making a slightly later dining reservation. This way, you will not have to feel rushed in order to make it to Disney Springs and can enjoy your arrival day at a more leisurely pace!
I hope this information will help you as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip!
