Greetings, and welcome to
planDisney, Peng, we thank you for your question!
I am so happy to hear that you'll be sailing with
Disney Cruise Line and planning on exploring the Kennedy Space Center prior to your cruise, how exciting! You will be pleased to know that there is ample
parking for Guests sailing with Disney Cruise Line, the last number of parking spots I read was 113 (subject to change).
Peng, in preparation for your sailing, and also 24-hours before sailing, kindly refer to
Disney Cruise Line's - Know Before Your Go resource, paying particular attention to
Embarkation Day as there are Covid-19 health-related pre-cruise requirements before boarding the ship and this may subsequently take more time than in the past with ship boarding patterns.
Firstly, ensure you have completed the necessary Covid-19 testing as required by the U.S. Government entry requirements into the United States, and secondly, you will have to upload your proof of vaccination to the
Safe Passage website by
Inspire Diagnostics. Lastly, you will also have to perform mandatory embarkation Covid-19 Testing upon arrival at Port Canaveral terminal (paid for by Disney Cruise Line) which will take approximately 45 to 60 minutes or longer to complete.
Factoring in that you have to select a Port Arrival time when you complete your Online Check-In up to 30 days before sailing, the duration of the mandatory Covid-19 Testing at Port Canaveral, in my opinion, planning on a late arrival before the end of boarding at the Port may be risky. I would recommend flying in a day earlier, and staying at a hotel near the port - many offer free parking on-site and shuttle service to the cruise terminal. Or, you may consider beginning your day exploring earlier in the morning to be on time for your Port Arrival pre-selected time, as anyone arriving earlier will be turned away. Peng, I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, I just want you to have the best cruise experience from beginning to end.
Tips:Download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to manage your cruise plans before and during your sailing, and there is even a feature for you to communicate with your family via the app called the Onboard Chat.
During your sailing, you will be able to book a future cruise through the
Disney Cruise Onboard Only Booking Offer by using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or by stopping at the Future Cruise Sales Desk near the Atrium Lobby.
When parking at the Disney Cruise Line parking lot, you are welcome to drop off your luggage curbside with the porters so you don't have to lug it all from your vehicle. They will ensure your luggage is tagged properly indicating your stateroom number if you have not already tagged your luggage in advance.
Peng, it was my pleasure and honour assisting a fellow Canadian Disney fan, and I wish you a most magical sailing, please stop by planDisney for any other first-hand tips and advice, thank you so kindly!
