We will be enjoying a character breakfast at the Contemporary Resort on our first day. It is for 8:15am and we will probably walk from the Shades of Green to the Polynesian Hotel to catch the monorail. Is there a monrail schedule I can use to be on time&qu

    Hi Alan,

I saw that you're going to be a guest at the Shades of Green Resort. Before I answer your question, I want to thank you and your family for serving our country. I sincerely appreciate it!

As for the Monorail, unfortunately it doesn't run on a fixed schedule like you might experience in a typical transit system. So, depending on the time of day and the volume of guests that are traveling, you can expect to see the Monorail come to any given station (on the Magic Kingdom's Resort Line) every 5 to 10 minutes on average.

Personally, I don't like to feel the pressure of being rushed for time when I'm on vacation. So, if I were in your shoes, I'd plan to be at the Polynesian's Monorail platform at around 7:45. That way, an unforeseen delay won't cause you to be late for your breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey's.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you're a golfer, you'll be staying right next to two PGA Championship Golf Courses. I had the chance to play the Magnolia course and it was an incredible experience. (Except for when my buddy's evasive driving maneuvers threw me out of the cart when a deer ran in front of us.)

By the way, they even rent clubs and shoes, so you don't have to worry about packing all of your gear if you want to travel light.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
