    I have enjoyed reading your advice to other parents visiting Disney. I am looking for restaurant recommendations (parks or at resorts). Restuarant does not have to be character themed. Just looking for the best food and atmosphere. TIA!

    I do love character meals. But if you are a group of adults or have shy kids in your group it might not be the BEST choice for you. (Although, we loved Akershus in Epcot!)

    My absolute favorite totally-worth-the-money restaurant is Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. It's a Dinner Theatre w/comedy & music. The food is ribs, fried chicken, salad & cornbread. Oh, & baked beans!

    If you're looking for something fun, I'd suggest:

    The 50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios. It's set like a 50's kitchen with black & white TVs playing classic sitcoms. The wait staff treat you like family. Literally--you have to set the table, eat your veggies (or else!) & NEVER EVER put your elbows on the table. The more you interact with your waiter, the more they'll do for you. And lots of good comfort food.

    Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge is an all-you-can-eat BBQ type place. The waiters throw straws at you, have stick horse races & more. A good time will be had by all!

    If you want something a little more fancy:

    Le Cellier in Canada at Epcot is fabu. I haven't been in a few years but I still dream about their pretzel breadsticks.

    California Grill at The Contemporary. It's famous for a romantic evening. You can even watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom at your table!

    Or how about a buffet?

    Boma at Animal Kingdom Loge is SO GOOD--delicious African food. Plus, you can walk around afterwards and see the giraffes and zebras at the hotel!

    Cape May Cafe at Beach Club Resort. It's a seafood buffet w/more crab legs than you can shake a stick at! Then you can walk by the beach or down to the boardwalk after dinner.
