    I would like to take engagement photos this weekend and want to confirm what is allowed? On our last stay a manager said this was not permitted at the resort, but I read an answer this year from a panelist that says it's ok

    Welcome back to planDisney, Holly! I know you must be so excited to be planning your very own happily ever after, and capturing some photos at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like the most magical setting! Let's focus on your question and see what develops!

    Holly, according to the Walt Disney World Resort property rules, "Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes" is listed as a prohibited activity at the Walt Disney World Resort. With that in mind, your best bet would be to discuss your plans directly with the staff at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa so you don't run into any unexpected situations while you are there. 

    If you are looking for some alternatives, Disney does offer Capture Your Moment photography sessions in the theme parks with their PhotoPass photographers, and sometimes there are PhotoPass photographers on the grounds of the Grand Floridian as well! If you see those photographers out and about, they're always happy to capture your photos for you, which you can then view in the My Disney Experience mobile app!
