We will be there the end of May. We were there in 2021 and because of Covid you could not get close to any of the characters, so we are excited about being able to see them up close. Are Characters signing autographs?

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question about your upcoming Disney Parks vacation this May!

It’s been absolutely wonderful to see so many Walt Disney World Resort experiences return after a long hiatus. I’m thrilled to be able to confirm that more “traditional” Character Experiences are absolutely back in the Theme Parks.

This means that you can not only get close enough for big hugs, but you can also ask them to sign autograph books or other items, if you wish. For example, I had Mickey Mouse sign my Walt Disney World Marathon medal last January when I met him at the Town Square Theater, and it really was a fun experience! My advice would be to have a Sharpie-style permanent marker on hand – those always make for the best (and most durable!) signatures.

As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. And be sure to tell your favourite Disney friends that I say hello when you meet them up close!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne

Meet the Panelist: Lynne, Quebec

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
