Ahoy there, Emily! I am so glad you sailed by planDisney with this question about one of my favorite things to do: book another
Disney Cruise Line adventure.
I find it a lot easier to disembark when my ship returns to port if I have the
onboard-only offer waiting for me. I love having a Placeholder Reservation for so many reasons, starting with the spirit to bounce like Tigger into planning another cruise.
With a Placeholder Reservation, you get a discount on a future cruise within two years. If your cruise is 7 nights or longer, you can also pay a lower deposit to secure your reservation. And, if you do not cruise within 2 years, the amount you paid is refunded. It is the easiest thing to say "yes" to—no risk.
To add an itinerary and stateroom to your Placeholder Reservation, you have to
call and speak with a Cast Member. I like to
search cruise itineraries before calling. You can see what is available by dates, destinations and departure ports. You can follow the prompts to pick a stateroom to see what the cost would be. I like window shopping and dreaming about all the options. I also like having a sense of possibilities and costs before picking up the phone. I also recommend looking at the blackout dates, just in case.
Be sure to check out the benefits of being a member of the
Castaway Club. You will be able to book
Port Adventures and
onboard activities like treatments at
Senses Spa & Salon and adult-exclusive dining earlier than first-time Guests. You will also get to do the pre-arrival online check-in earlier, which is when you can select your Port Arrival Time.
I hope the countdown clock on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be rolling again soon. As Tigger would say, "Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" As you are planning for your time on board, please bounce back by
planDisney! Helping Guests is what we do best!
TTFN! Ta-ta for Now!
