Is Encounter Darth Vader going on hiatus? I don't see any times after October 4 2026.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Kevin!

Thanks for sharing your question with us. It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation and trip to a galaxy far, far away is just around the corner. Woo hoo! I’m sure you’re counting down the days, hours, and minutes (or maybe I should say parsecs) until you get to enjoy the Vacation Kingdom of the World.

I can’t find an announcement that Darth Vader will no longer be meeting guests at Hollywood Studios, but you’re right that there aren’t currently any scheduled times past October 3, 2026 (at least that’s the case at the time I’m writing this). While attraction schedules and availability are always subject to change, my guess is that the Encounter Darth Vader schedule just hasn’t been updated yet. Keep checking back, and hopefully the calendar will be up-to-date shortly.

As you continue to prep for your upcoming vacation, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. You can quickly see which characters have scheduled appearances using the app’s map feature. Just select the map (the location pin) and then choose the characters icon near the top of the screen. You can then filter the results by location to see characters set to appear at Hollywood Studios, or wherever you are planning to visit that day.

I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World, Kevin. Pop right back if you have other vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are happy to help!

Magical travels and may the Force be with you!
