Ahoy and welcome to planDisney, Melanie! Your Sail Away day is quickly approaching! Let's grab Ariel's dinglehopper and comb through your questions so you can board your ship with carefree style!
For your magical evening at Enchante, the chef and staff are incredibly talented (although you may find them suggesting you use a dinglehopper to enjoy les poissons). When you arrive, your dining team will ask you if anyone has any dietary restrictions. They will talk you through the menu, including the fully dairy-free items available and any alterations they can make to accommodate your needs.
Did you know you can note your dietary needs on your reservation? You can do this on the
Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App under your reservation and the section for "Special Requests." Having cruised with a family member with severe food allergies, I can attest the Cast Members in all restaurants were very cautious about dietary restrictions, and they helped find alternatives and consulted with the chef to offer suggestions that worked well and tasted divine.
With Disney Cruise Line’s
rotational dining, you have the chance to enjoy dinner in the ship’s main dining rooms each evening. Each of the three dining restaurants has a unique theme and menu. If your cruise is a 3-night sailing, and you choose to go to Enchante one evening for dinner, you would miss dinner in one of the restaurants onboard the Disney Wish. Once you have boarded the ship and connected to the Disney Cruise wi-fi, you can see your dining rotation on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If you would like to adjust your dining reservations, there is usually a location on the ship on Embarkation Day to ask for assistance with dining modifications. If there is a restaurant you are missing and still want to see what it looks like and have some experience, look at the Navigator app to see if the restaurant is open for breakfast or lunch during your cruise. It's not the same as the dinner and all the magical experiences they offer, but it is something. As Ursula warns, “Life is full of tough choices, innit?” With so much to do, your best choice is to secure an
Onboard-Only Offer to save money on a future cruise and come back.
For the time you want to spend down where it’s wetter and better, the easiest thing to do is cancel the reservation for your snorkels and then rebook them for the guests who need them. To trim one individual, you would need to
call and speak with a Cast Member. I have never seen these sell out, so the risk of canceling on the app and not being able to rebook is pretty small. In fact, I have never reserved these ahead of time for Castaway Cay. I just rent them on the island when the mood strikes. You just need to make any adjustments to reservations for onboard activities and Port Adventures at least three days before your departure date.
I wish you the best, sailing where the seaweed is always greener! Please come back to
planDisney with any other questions. We are here to help!
Bon Voyage,
Jana
