Hi there, Kassy!
Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question. There is so much magic in store for the Disneyland Resort this year, you are going to love having that Enchant Key in your pocket!
It's always a whirl of excitement when
Magic Keys resume sales as they just have so much to offer, especially for Guests who are local to the parks. As you discovered, an added perk of being a California resident is the ability to select a monthly payment plan. As part of the check out process, Guests are asked to check a box to acknowledge that they are a California resident and at least 18 years of age. I spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that as long as the home address and billing address for your credit card go back to a California zip code, you should be all set. From time to time, there are special offers like the current
Southern California Resident Ticket Offer that do require a valid, government issued photo ID with proof of residency, so you may want to consider starting that process so you don't miss out on any of the magic down the line.
With that shiny key in hand, I want to make sure you know where to go to find all the perks and pixie dust you now have at your fingertips. If you head into the
Disneyland Mobile App and scroll down on the main page, you will see the "Magic Key Portal". You're going to want to pop in here frequently to see the "
Extras Unlocked" as you never know what you may find! Currently, there are seasonal extras for the
Lunar New Year Celebration at California Adventure, including a specially-priced Sip and Savor Pass, exclusive merchandise, and even a key holder-only dining area and photo-op. Whether it's special offers on hotel stays or limited-time popcorn buckets, there is magic tucked into every corner for key holders!
Kassy, I sure hope this was helpful. There will be so much to see and do this year with the
70th Anniversary Celebration kicking off in May - it is truly a great time to be a key holder! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Wishing you magic,
Tara
