Are emotional support dogs allowed at Disneyland. She is approved by a Psychologist to help with extreme anxiety. Especially since COVID began it is near impossible to be in crowds without her. I really want to take my granddaughter to Disneyland.

    Hi Kimberley,

Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you stopped by with your important question.

Disney values all Guests and offers some wonderful services for Guests with disabilities. Service animals, which they define as "Any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability," are allowed at Disneyland Resort. You'll find all sorts of helpful information regarding restricted attractions, relief areas, and more on the Service Animals page.

I was hoping that would mean that you'd be able to bring your furry friend with you during your visit; however, I also noticed that the Disneyland Resort rules state under the Animal Policies section that, "All other animals, including emotional support, comfort or companion animals, are not considered service animals." Based on that, your emotional support dog will not be able to visit with you at this point.

Thanks for reaching out to us here at planDisney, Kimberley, and please let us know if you have any other questions. We're always here and happy to help!
