Can a emotional support dog go into the parks? And when dose Disneyland dog kennels reopening?

Hi there Angela, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by en route to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Disneyland Resort works hard to meet the needs of all Guests, and for this reason, service animals are permitted in most locations throughout the theme parks, Downtown Disney District, and resort hotels. At the Disneyland Resort, a service animal is defined as any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, so if your furry friend meets the qualifications, he or she is welcome to come along. Be sure to review the rules and restrictions for service animals and familiarize yourself with the locations of relief areas before your visit.

During the current phase of reopening, the Disneyland Resort Kennel Club is not available to Guests, but as we progress through the next several months, keep an eye on its website as well as the Returning to a Land of Magic information page for updates. I know we're all looking forward to more experiences coming back online in the theme parks and resorts. In the meantime, if you decide to leave Pluto's pal behind while you enjoy the theme parks, I recommend asking a fellow pet-parent friend to suggest a local doggie daycare. My family and I use the mobile app, Rover to find dog walkers, pet sitters, and overnight boarders. It's a wonderful mouseketool for traveling pet moms and dads!

I hope this is helpful, Angela, and that you have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort. Thanks for sending your question our way, and we'll see ya real soon!

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
