Greetings Andrea!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us!
Have you visited the
Downtown Disney District recently? If not, let me tell you what to expect! Upon arrival, all Guests are required to undergo a temperature screening prior to entering the Downtown Disney District. Next, you’ll be required to pass through a security screening. And, don’t forget that in order to gain admission, all Guests age 2 and older are required to wear a face covering that is secured with ties or ear loops. Guests may only remove their face covering while actively eating or drinking outside.
I’m happy to report that trained service animals are welcome in most locations throughout the Disneyland Resort including the Downtown Disney District. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times and should keep them on a leash or harness while visiting. Although the Downtown Disney District has a designated
Service Animal Relief Area, your service animal is welcome to use any open outdoor area for relief as long as you pick up after the animal and leave the area clean. I confirmed with
Ballast Point Brewing Co. that as long as your service animal is granted admission during the initial security screening, they are welcome to accompany you to the outdoor dining area.
Enjoy your visit to the Downtown Disney District and please head back to planDisney with more questions in the future!
