Hi there, Josh!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question! As a proud Dog Mom of 3, I could chat about animals all day long! They are wonderful companions, and honestly, most days I prefer their company to people. Because of this, you'll also regularly find me hanging out by the tigers at
Maharajah Jungle Trek or riding
Kilimanjaro Safaris (both in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park) during my magical vacations.
Josh, I did a bit of research in reference to your question because I have seen service animals at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and pets at certain Disney Resort hotels on recent visits (who wouldn't notice an adorable golden retriever in mouse ears), so I wanted to check the specific guidelines. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property rules, emotional support, comfort, or companion animals do not meet the criteria for service animals and are not permitted entrance to Walt Disney World Resort locations with the exception of
pet-friendly Disney Resort hotels.
I understand you are likely disappointed that your emotional support animal will be unable to stay with you at one of Disney's All-Star Resorts, but I'm happy to share that
Disney's Art of Animation Resort falls into the same pricing category (
Disney's Value Resort hotels) and is pet friendly! Art of Animation is also conveniently located on the
Disney Skyliner, so you'll be able to swing over to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios just like Tarzan, a fellow Disney dude with animal companions.
I wish I could have given you a 'Yes!', Josh, but I believe you'll be able to make magical memories regardless of where you stay. If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to
stop back by. I'm happy to help!
Hakuna Matata,
Lizzie
