Hi Emma.I'm hoping to book another fabulous WDW holiday for next August. Have you ever used a US travel agent to book a WDW holiday? I was wondering if it was more cost effective than booking it from here in the UK.

    Hi Elizabeth,

I'm so glad to hear that you are already considering another visit to Walt Disney World in 2013. It's never too early to start planning your next Disney holiday as far as I am concerned!

I have not personally ever booked a holiday to Walt Disney World with an American travel agent but, we have booked directly with Disney via the USA version of the Walt Disney World website.

The reason that we did this was because we were visiting for Christmas & New Year and free dining was being offered for stays in Value Resort hotels on the USA version of the website and there were no free dining promotions being offered at this time on the UK version.

The only down-side to doing this is that you will need to pay for your Magic Your Way Vacation Package in US dollars which can mean that the cost of your holiday can fluctuate due to exchange rates and you will not be able to add the super convenient Disney's Ultimate Tickets created exclusively for Guests from the UK. You will instead be required to purchase Magic Your Way base tickets and decide whether to add the Water Park Fun & More or Park Hopper options.

It is certainly worthwhile pricing your holiday up this way and then comparing it against a holiday package with the Walt Disney Travel Company on the UK Walt Disney World website.

In order to do this, you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the Walt Disney World home page and where it states "Select an International Version" select "USA: English. You can then click on "TICKETS & PACKAGES" to price up your trip.

I hope that this information has been of help and wish you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
