Emma, I understand that you've stayed at Disney's Old Key West before. Could you explain how the complimentary Disney buses work at this resort? How many stops are there and in what order do the buses visit them? Recommendations for room requests here?

    Hi JoAnn,

My family did indeed stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort in 2009 and thought that it was a very beautiful, relaxing Resort to head back to after a busy day at the parks!

There are 5 bus stops at this Resort in total:-

    Peninsular Road
    South Point
    Old Turtle Pond Road
    Millers Road
    Hospitality House

I have to say, that we found the bus service to be very reliable and efficient during our stay. Back then, the route was as listed above:- Peninsular Road, South Point, Old Turtle Pond Road, Millers Road, and Hospitality House. The Downtown Disney / Internal Resort Shuttle bus stopped at Hospitality House both as it entered and as it departed the Resort. I'm not aware that the route has changed since my stay but would recommend that you confirm this information with a Cast Member when you arrive just to be on the safe side.

My family stayed in Building 48 and thought that it was a great location. It was situated in a very quiet, relaxing area right across the road from the South Point bus stop and in very close proximity to one of the Resorts quiet pools.

If you wish to stay in a building close to Hospitality House and the main pool area, then you would need to request either buildings 11, 12, 13, 14 or 23, 24, 25, 26.

One of the things which we loved about staying here was being able to catch a boat from the Resort to Downtown Disney. It is so relaxing and makes a lovely change to getting the bus everywhere. I would highly recommend that you give it a try during your trip.

I hope that you enjoy your stay in this beautiful Resort as much as we did and wish you a magical trip!
