Bonjour Matt and welcome to planDisney. Thanks so much for stopping by with your question which I will be more than happy to answer.
First things first, how exciting that you're planning a visit to my favourite European holiday destination -
Disneyland Paris! Sleeping Beauty Castle, in Disneyland Park, is absolutely stunning and if you ask me, t
he fairest of them all, when it comes to Disney castles, worldwide!
Going back to your question, Matt, I am very pleased to tell you that all Guests staying at a Disney Hotel, regardless of how they booked their stay, are eligible for
Extra Magic Time.
I can also confirm that if you were to book a 1-night stay at
Newport Bay Club, you would indeed be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Time on both your arrival and departure days.
In order to streamline everything, I would highly recommend that you link both your Park Tickets and Hotel Booking on the
Disneyland Paris Mobile App, as soon as possible. In order to do this, you may need to contact the third party who you have booked your hotel stay with, to request your Disneyland Paris booking number which, generally speaking, is different to the booking reference for your hotel booking with them.
Then, when you arrive at the turnstiles to the Disney Parks, on the day of your arrival, you will have a digital MagicPass which shows that you are a Disney Hotel Guest who is eligible for Extra Magic Time.
If you do experience any difficulties in linking your Park Tickets and Hotel Booking, prior to your arrival, you will need to head straight over to Newport Bay Club, on the day of arrival, to check-in. Here you will receive physical MagicPasses which prove that you are a Disney Hotel Guest. This along with your Park Ticket is all that you will need in order to enter the Disney Parks during Extra Magic Time.
Either way, you may decide that you want to go to Newport Bay Club prior to visiting the Disney Parks so that you can
store your luggage, until later in the day, when your room is ready.
Extra Magic Time is such an amazing perk which allows you to enter the Disney Parks 1 hour before non-Disney hotel Guests, each day. You will find that the queues are much lower during this first hour which means that you'll be able to get lots done before the Disney Parks even open to regular Guests.
My family were actually at Disneyland Paris last weekend and let me tell you that in the first 3 hours of the day (including Extra Magic Time) we had met Mickey Mouse, Genie from Aladdin and Baloo, ridden Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain (which is my 8-year old daughters new favourite attraction), Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril and Dumbo the Flying Elephant as well as having time to visit
La Tanière du Dragon and do some shopping on Main Street U.S.A. This was on a Sunday too!
I hope that this information has been of help, Matt and that you have a brilliant time at Disneyland Paris, next year. If we can be of any other assistance with the planning of your upcoming trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
