Ahoy there, Pamela!
Welcome back to planDisney! We know this is not the most magical part of vacation planning, but it is one of the smartest. Making sure your crew back home knows how to reach you in a true emergency is just good seamanship.
For the
Disney Treasure, there is not a separate, ship specific public emergency number that families call directly. The dedicated emergency contact number currently used is (407) 566-3640. I actually gave it a quick call myself to confirm it is active, and it is indeed the number your family would use in a true emergency.
Before calling, the caller will need the Guest’s full name, the ship name, and the stateroom number. Without those details, it becomes much harder to connect the dots. It is also very important to make sure everyone understands that satellite telephone rates apply. These calls can be very expensive, so this number should truly be reserved for urgent situations only.
For everyday communication (and maybe even emergencies), I usually recommend a different approach. If you and your family back home both use iMessage or WhatsApp, you can often send text messages using the ship’s Wi-Fi. Basic messaging works on the complimentary Wi-Fi, but sending photos, videos, or making voice and video calls typically requires the
purchase of an internet package. If your phone uses a
private relay feature, I suggest turning that off while onboard since it can sometimes interfere with messages sending properly.
I hope this helps you feel prepared while you focus on the fun parts of sailing on the Treasure. With the right information shared ahead of time, you can relax and enjoy your voyage knowing your crew back home knows exactly how to reach you if absolutely necessary.
Sea ya real soon with a little extra warmth, wonder, and Disney magic,
Dustin
