    Hello Mom's, we are embarking on our very first cruise ever with Disney on Jan 23 2015. We are doing the 5 day Western Caribbean on the Wonder.I was wondering as this is our first cruise may I please get some pointers on dress codes and what to pack?

    Congratulations on booking your very first magical voyage onboard the Disney Wonder! There are lots of magical moments just waiting to be made. My family and I were just onboard the Disney Wonder a couple of weeks ago on a 5-night voyage, and we are still going through some withdrawal symptoms. You and your family will surely have a fabulous vacation. 

    You will likely have loads of pictures to take while on vacation -- so you definitely want to plan on bright & crisp colors for your outfits. There will be 1 optional dress up night (formal), and I encourage you and your family to get glammed up! The professional photographers will be setting up their signature Disney Cruise backgrounds in the lobby before dinner, so this would also be a perfect time to get updated family or solo photos taken. It makes a great memento of your 1st voyage with Captain Mickey. 

    You don't want to forget your Pirate gear. The Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party will be a hit and your buccaneers will want to turn their pirate 'on'. This evening will be loads of fun, and I'm sure your pictures will turn out awesome. The rest of the evenings will be cruise casual. Ladies can wear sundresses or capri pants and a nice top/blouse to dinner. Men can wear khaki's or slacks or jeans to dinner with a collared shirt. Boys can wear shorts & a nice shirt and girls can wear a sundress or a nice top and shorts too. You want to be comfortable, but still be dressed like how you would dress-up when you are home, and your family were to go out to a nice dinner for the evening. Bring 2 swimsuits each (it's nice to have an alternate), and bring sunblock & flip flops. Shorts will be a must have since you'll be enjoying nice warm weather during the day.
