When we embark at Port Canaveral on our cruise, we are planning to go to Magic Kingdom and enter the park during early magic hours. Is this possible even though I am obviously not staying at a resort, at but on a cruise as a DVC member?

    HI Justine,

Looks like your cruise on the Disney Magic is just around the corner!  My family just cruised on the Disney Fantasy and had a absolutely wonderful time!   I know your cruise will be just as magical.  I am assuming that you are sailing from New York and Port Canaveral is one of your port days.  If you want to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours that day, you will need to be on the first bus to Magic Kingdom which usually leaves around 6:15 to 6:30 am.  You can get an early breakfast at Topsiders that day.  This is a perk of being on the excursion, not because you are a DVC member.  Normally, you are correct that you can only use Extra Magic Hours when you stay at a Disney resort.   I want you to be sure you go to the Disney Vacation Club Members reception which is usually on the first or second day of the cruise.  You will get the latest DVC hats (they are white with blue embroidery this year) as well as cocktails and some gifts.  You will be offered fantastic incentives to purchase more points if you would like to do so.  I know your upcoming cruise will be MAGICAL, Justine!  Bon Voyage!
