We are about to embark on our first family Disney trip ( 7 yo twin girls) in 18 days. Is there any must have advice, such as things to pack, items you don't need. etc? Also can we send some items to our hotel (Port Orleans-French) ahead of time?

    Hi Dawn:

There are few "must haves" that you can't find on Disney World property should you forget something. But here are some helpful tips:
    • Comfortable shoes. The number one tip - bar none; Sunscreen; Rain Poncho. While you can purchase a poncho on property, they are usually cheaper when bought at home; Appropriate clothing for hot, warm, and cool temperatures; A small backpack, purse, or tote; Sunglasses; Bathing suits; and Identification.

You can mail yourself packages to your Resort ahead of time. On the package, write your name, note that you are a "guest," and include the date of your arrival. I would bring confirmation numbers from your shipper just in case the package needs to be traced for some reason.

     Enjoy your vacation.
