We embark on the Disney Dream December 15th. On other cruises I was able to apply cash in advance to my stateroom for onboard credit via gift certificates, so I did not have to use a credit card. Can I do with that with Disney as well?

    Ahoy, Brooke!
A Disney Cruise in December - how exciting! Not only will you get to enjoy a tropical getaway before the holidays, but you'll also be onboard during Disney Cruise Line's Very Merrytime Cruises. Special holiday enhancements and experiences will make your sailing a vacation to remember!

When you check in at the port, you'll be issued a Key to the World Card. This card will serve as your stateroom key, boarding pass, and shipboard charge card. Since the Disney ships operate on a "cash-free" basis, all your shopping and room charges will be made with your Key to the World and charged to your stateroom. If you'd like to apply cash to your account as a credit, simply stop by Guest Services after you board the ship. They'll be happy to deposit your cash into your stateroom account for you, and any money not spent will be refunded at the end of your cruise.

I hope this helps with your budgeting and planning. Please let us know if you have any more questions as your sail date gets closer. An awesome voyage with Captain Mickey (and Santa, too!) awaits!
    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
