Ahoy and welcome aboard, Kollyn! It won't be long before you are saying "Bon Voyage!" and waving goodbye to the people at the port while dancing at the
Sailing Away deck party.
I'm glad to hear you have completed the pre-arrival check-in and are all ready to board your cruise. You can arrive at your Port Arrival Time. Upon arrival, you will go through security, with your bags being scanned, much like at the airport. Make sure you have your
travel documents in your hand. This includes passports or other proof of citizenship and your cruise check-in information, which could be a printout of your documents that were e-mailed to you or having this loaded into your cell phone wallet. Once you are checked in, you can board the ship once your Boarding Group is called.
Staterooms are not available until the afternoon. Once they are open, you can head to your room, where your Key to the World cards will be in a sealed envelope on your door. This is a somewhat recent change. The first time we experienced this, my husband was concerned for a second. But the envelopes are sealed and the rooms are empty. If your keys are not on the door or you believe they have been tampered with, you can visit Guest Services for assistance.
If this is your first cruise, you may want to consider bringing a lanyard with you for each person in your stateroom. The Key to the World cards are about the same size as a credit card. A lanyard with a pouch for your card will make it easy to carry it with you everywhere. Another option is
DisneyBand+. I used my MagicBand+ as a DisneyBand+ on a recent cruise and absolutely loved the convenience. In addition to working like my Key to the World card, it has haptics that light up and buzz with deck parties. Convenience and a bit of magic for the win!
I hope you have a magical cruise!
