Hi, I and my eleven year old son are booked to stay at WL Aug 12-18th. Would it be worth switching to poly? We like the theme of WL more but want to make the most of our short vacation. I am okay with price difference.

Hi Polly - my family stayed at the Polynesian in May and I found the transportation situation to be wonderful.  We had a room by the Ticket and Transportation Center, and it was so easy to get the monorail to Epcot or the Magic Kingdom, or a bus to Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studio.  The buses ran frequently and were not crowded.

Therefore, if you don't mind the price difference, I'd suggest the Polynesian if you really want to get the most park time out of your short trip.  While I think the theme of the Wilderness Lodge is better than the Polynesian, the convenience of the Polynesian is amazing.

    Have a great vacation!
