Hi, Brian!
Welcome aboard
Disney Cruise Line! It looks like you have a sailing planned for early fall which will be an amazing time of year to take a cruise. You will still have long days of sunshine so plenty of time to enjoy beautiful sunsets and sit poolside with snacks and beverages.
Feel free to take a peek at the
List of Prohibited Items when boarding a Disney Cruise ship. You will notice that curling irons and flat irons are on the list of appliances that are allowed on board so no worries about bringing your hair appliance along. I like that a mat is provided (will be in a drawer near the dresser/desk area) so you can place your warm curling iron safely on the countertop.
I am happy to say that unless you prefer your own hair products, shampoo and conditioner are provided. In addition, you will find your bathroom has body wash, hand soap, and hand lotion provided so those are all items you will not need to pack (more room for important things like Mickey Mouse ears!)
When it comes to
packing for your cruise, do not overpack! You will find you will spend most of your time in "cruise casual" attire. I like to pack a nicer outfit for a dinner, but generally you will find everyone enjoys being comfortable (please no swimsuits or tank tops in the dining rooms, and dressier clothes may be needed if dining at Palo).
Have fun packing for your magical cruise. Make sure to have your passports packed in your carry-on bag as you will need to present them at the cruise terminal when you arrive for check-in.
SEA you real soon!
Cathy
